The human body is composed of several organ systems that help throughout the body to perform specific functions. There are a total of 11 organ systems with different assigned function; organ systems are a group of organs that work together in order to make a function, such as the integumentary, skeletal, muscular, nervous, endocrine, cardiovascular, lymphatic/immunity, digestive, urinary, and reproductive system. These organ systems are very important to the body because some have functions that help the body in keeping it alive, but other systems may not be required for survival such as the reproductive system it only helps for producing babies. The major organ systems in the human body are cardiovascular, respiratory, nervous, muscular, and skeletal system. The cardiovascular system consist of three organs the heart, blood vessels, and blood. They work together in order to provide oxygen throughout the whole body, the heart composed of cardiac muscle is the main organ in the human body without it we won’t be able to live it, its function is mostly to pump blood throughout the whole body. The blood vessels are composed mainly by smooth muscle throughout the whole body carrying blood such as the arteries and the veins, which takes carbon dioxide and other waste out of the body.
